FUJAIRAH OFFSHORE ANCHORAGE AREA
Fujairah Offshore Anchorage Area (FOAA) is globally recognized for its wide range of services. FOAA offers up to 133 anchor positions along with an efficient and diverse ‘one stop shop’ facility for calling vessels. It has gained a reputation as one of the top three bunkering hubs in the world.
FOAA is known for its safety, security and calm waters, close to 12,500 vessels called the Anchorage in 2022, making it one of the biggest maritime service hubs globally. The following marine services are available at FOAA:

“A” Anchorage Area – Total (17) anchor positions, for vessels awaiting orders.
“B”Anchorage Area – Total (50) anchor positions, for vessels require bunker, lube oil or desloping.
“C”Anchorage Area – Total (12) anchor positions, for vessels require marine services excluding oil products.
“D”Anchorage Area – Total (14) anchor positions, for vessels carrying hazardous cargo, explosives and lng/lpg carriers; maritime services, bunkering & desloping permitted.
“G”Anchorage Area – Total (2) STS LNG anchor positions, for LNG & LPG carriers to conduct STS operations.
“N”Anchorage Area – Total (3 ) anchor positions, for navy vessels holding valid diplomatic clearance.
“S”Anchorage Area – Total (12) anchor positions, tankers for STS (Oil Products) operations.
“V”Anchorage Area – Total (4) anchor positions, VLCCs waiting for FOTT-VLCC berths.
“T”Anchorage Area – Total (4) anchor positions, for tankers calling SPM terminals; maritime services, bunkering & desloping permitted.
“W”Anchorage Area – Total (15) anchor positions, for inbound vessels waiting for berths (Port of Fujairah, FOTT, Vopak and Al Kaser Bay berths), excluding SPMs.

A fleet of over 107 utility boats, owned and operated by shipping agencies and diving companies, serve vessels at FOAA out of the Service Harbour. The Anchorage is professionally managed by the Marine Department of Port of Fujairah and is regularly patrolled by the Coast Guard and Port of Fujairah boats. Fujairah territorial waters extend up to 12 nautical miles from the shoreline.
