FUJAIRAH BUNKERING & FUEL OIL FORUM

The Fujairah Bunkering & Fuel Oil Forum (FUJCON) is the pre-eminent and most prestigious bi-annual bunker forum for the Middle East bunker markets. This anchor event, held during Fujairah Bunkering Week, has grown to enjoy international recognition and attendance from over 50 countries covering the full supply chain of the bunkering industry.

The Forum is held under the auspices of the Government of Fujairah and the Port of Fujairah with the patronage of His Highness, Sheikh Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi, Member of the UAE Supreme Council and Ruler of Fujairah.

Fujairah Bunkering Week provides a welcome opportunity for professional training, catering to the specialized needs of the fuel oil industry. It comprises the main forum, bunker courses and briefings, laboratory and offshore site visits, intensive learning and extensive networking.

FUJCON has raised the profile of Fujairah as an internationally recognized service Anchorage, contributing to its position amongst the world’s top three bunkering locations and as a global hub for both oil storage and product supply.

The Gulf Intelligence Energy Markets Forum has established itself as the signature annual thought leadership event in the Gulf for senior government officials as well as top level executives engaged in the trading, storing, refining, marketing and shipping of energy, who gather to exchange knowledge on relevant and timely trends impacting their industry.

FUJAIRAH INTERNATIONAL ARTS FESTIVAL

Port of Fujairah is a sponsor of the Fujairah International Arts Festival, a huge artistic event that brings together artists from all over the world to perform their creative work in Fujairah. The festival embraces a wide array of art fields, from music to performing arts, theatre, traditional art and more. Fujairah International Arts Festival aims to introduce the Arab Emirati culture to the world.

ZERO NINE EXHIBITION

Fujairah Port supports the annual charity event, Zero Nine Exhibition, which, aside from being the fashion event of the year on the East Coast, also plays a vital role in supporting and drawing attention to charitable causes in the region. The revenue earned from this exhibition is put towards the support of a different charity every year.

SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAMME AT THE PORT OF FUJAIRAH AUTHORITY

HISTORY

In complete alignment with the country’s vision for economic growth, and the empowerment of UAE nationals to move steadily towards leadership positions in critical industries, Fujairah Port Authority launched a unique Scholarship Programme for Emiratis. This programme is also in line with Fujairah Government’s future vision.

The Scholarship Programme aims to equip young UAE nationals to acquire the scientific background needed to operate, support and manage the vital positions previously held by non-nationals. This programme will be extended beyond academic support once the foundation has been obtained to ensure that future assignments also contribute to the economic goals of the Emirate.

The Scholarship Programme is in line with the Emiratization strategy of the government of the United Arab Emirates.
